Piece of genuine WWII US camouflaged parachute, to be worn as a scarf.
From the first day the American paratroopers went into battle, the legend of the parachute scarf began. After landing on enemy ground, a piece of parachute was cut off the canopy and worn around the neck as a scarf. It became the mark of a veteran paratrooper, a sign that the owner was a seasoned combat man, a warrior. It was also worn by various infantry, Navy Beach Battalion, Ranger units fighting around the paratroopers, including some German Fallschirmjägers of the 6 FJR.
