Extremely scarce and nice genuine WWII US Army nylon jump suit, commonly referred to as the 'Balloon Suit', intended for being worn by paratroopers on training. This type was in use for a short period in 1941-1942.
This amazing coverall features a front zipper going down to the crotch, cuffs with two snap fasteners, and wool knit ankles, along with a total of six patch pockets closing with a zipper -- two slant pockets on the breast, two on the thighs, one on the side of the right leg, and a smaller one located at the rear of the left leg. A tiny compartment with buttoned flap, designed for housing the pocket knife, is also visible near the left knee.
The present suit is in very good overall condition and retains all its original buttons and Talon zippers in working order. Size 38.
