Nice genuine WWII US Army Other Ranks Garrison Cap, without piping.
In excellent overall condition, the present cap features the specific insignia of gliderborne.
Rare US glider cap patch, 1st type, on felt, for artillery personnel, red glider on white, red border.
This insignia is erroneously believed to be the First Airborne Task Force, although it was worn by any US glider arty unit as shown by 1st Lt. Anthony Vetrano of the 907th GFAB on the listed photograph.
Label dated March 18, 1944. Size 7 1/8.
