Rare genuine WWII US Army M1 helmet liner, of the specific type intended for Airborne troops and worn by paratroopers on D-Day.
Manufactured by Westinghouse. The outer surface retains most of its original paint.
In excellent overall condition, the present liner retains its khaki cotton web suspension and neckband, russet leather sweatband, and OD-painted A washers. The A yokes have been cut off.
