Grouping, S/Sgt. Russell Weishuhn, Co. C, 326th Engineer Bn., 101st Airborne Division, ETO
Rare genuine WWII US Army grouping, which belonged to Staff Sergeant Russell F. Weishuhn, Company C, 326th Engineer Battalion, 101st Airborne Division and includes the following items:
-duffle bag, featuring a shoulder strap; this green canvas bag was larger and sturdier than the Barrack Bag and could be secured with a padlock; mention S/Sgt. Russell F. Weishuhn and ASN 36175973 have been stenciled above some illegible tactical number and an invasion code made up of three horizontal bars (brown-ochre-brown);
- 101st Airborne Division, with separate tab;
- paratroops cap badge (twill), of the red version specific to the Corps of Engineers, shown in a small frame;
- set of seven wartime photographs, taken in the USA and in England, in which appear Russell F. Weishuhn and some of his comrades.
Nice homogeneous lot, in good overall condition.
