Rare genuine WWII British Husun type sextant, bearing the Air Ministry (Ref. No. 6B/177) markings and manufactured by Henry Hughes & Son, Ltd. Dated 1943.

This navigational instrument was mostly intended for calculating latitude and longitude from the position of the sun and the stars. The present type was in use aboard Royal Air Force seaplanes.

The sextant itself is complete and in very good overall condition -- the rubber eyeshield is slightly damaged.

Comes in its original wooden case.
