Transceiver, Type 3 Mk II, SOE & Resistance
Rare and amazing genuine WWII British Type 3 Mk II transceiver, introduced in 1942 and generally known as B2. 7,000 units were produced during the war.
This type of clandestine transceiver, intended for Special Operations Executive agents and Resistance organizations, was made up of four separate elements (transmitter, receiver, power unit, and accessories) designed for being carried in a suitcase or, as seen here, stored in two waterproof metal containers. A third container carrying a battery -- not included here -- could complete the whole assembly.
Good overall condition.
