Genuine WWII British cap badge of the The Warwickshire Yeomanry, to be worn on the black beret.

This cavalry regiment fought in Syria and Iraq in 1940-41 as one of the last mounted units in the British Army.

At the end of 1941, the regiment swapped its horses for tanks and was transferred to the Royal Armoured Corps.

From 1942 to 1943 it served with the 9th Armoured Brigade, 10th Armoured Division and took part in the Second Battle of El Alamein.

In 1944, under the command of the 78th Infantry Division, its tanks landed in Italy and fought until the end of the war.
