Nice genuine WWII British gas mask, of the lightweight type introduced in 1943 and initially issued to first-wave assault troops and airborne units because of its compact design.
Size: Normal. Most of the components are dated 1944.
The present respirator is in very good overall condition and retains its filter cartridge, dated 1944. The right lens is damaged.
Comes in its original green canvas bag, dated 1944, along with a tin intended for Anti-Gas Ointment, No. 6 (empty), and some eyeshields (in their cardboard sleeve).
