Genuine WWII Canadian cap badge, The Governor General's Horse Guards. To be worn on the black beret.
This armored regiment from Alberta landed in Italy in 1943 as part of the 5th Armoured Brigade, 5th Canadian Armoured Division and subsequently participated in most of the battles for the peninsula. In February 1945, the unit was transferred to North West Europe and took part in the liberation of the Netherlands.
