Genuine WWII Canadian battledress blouse, 1939 Pattern.
Manufactured by S. & G. Clothing Co. Ltd. in Montreal, Quebec and dated 1944. Size 15.
The present jacket, of the type intended for other ranks, features the following cloth insignia: Royal Canadian Army Service Corps shoulder titles and 1st Canadian Corps insignia.
Quite interestingly, the left shoulder tab has been adorned with the British Eighth Army formation badge, indicating that the former owner served in the Mediterranean Theater of Operations; some good conduct stripe has been sewn on the lower sleeve.
Complete and in quite good overall condition despite some moth damage.
The front buttons have been replaced with a Lightning zipper (in working order).
