Genuine WWII US special friction tape, manufactured by Boston Woven Hose & Rubber Co. in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
This 'Chatterton' tape was issued as part of the paratrooper's demolition kit (see picture #2 in manual Technical Training of Parachutist). Often used by airborne troops to reinforce their personal equipment and gear.
The present roll is complete and untouched. Comes in its original cardboard box, dated November 1942.
