Genuine WWII US Army 'yard-long' photograph a Company G, 541st Parachute Infantry Regiment. Taken during the fall of 1944, the photographer's marked with ink the reverse -- W.R. Thompson & Co., Richmond 2, Va.

The 541st Parachute Infantry Regiment was formed on August 12, 1943 at Fort Moore, Georgia, with the aim of remaining stateside and training new paratroopers to reinforce the regiments deployed in Europe.
