Extremely rare genuine WWII US Army grouping, which belonged to Private First Class Joe G. Taylor, Company I, 359th Infantry Regiment, 90th Infantry Division, made up of the following items:

- various documents related to his stateside service in 1942-1943 (lot of six original photographs, named leave pass, menu of the 25th anniversary of the regiment, Christmas menu and Fourth of July menu);
- German newspaper Völkischer Beobachter, May 30, 1944 issue;
- Warweek newspaper clipping, July 13, 1944 issue, bearing the following annotation: 'This pretty well describes Army life in France';
- artifacts related to his captivity in Germany in 1944-1945 -- original photograph, Stalag IV-B dog tag, medical certificate, handwritten letter sent to his spouse, German saccharin packet...

A 90th Infantry Division shoulder sleeve insignia completes this unique set of personal belongings.

Joe Grant Taylor was born on November 8, 1905 in Beebe, Arkansas and joined the US Army on March 7, 1942 (ASN 38102387). He went on to serve with Co. I, 359th I.R., 90th I.D. and deployed to France in July 1944, where he was captured. Interned at Stalag IV-B, he was liberated in April 1945. He was later discharged as a Private First Class and passed away on March 20, 1993.
