The envelope contains an original Glider Release newspaper (August 1944 issue) and two photographs of experimental glider TG-4A, manufactured by Laister-Kauffmann and named Yankee Doodle Two.

Postmarked on September 28, 1944.

Staff Sergeant Raymond Geddes, Jr., Company G, 3rd Battalion, 501st Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division jumped in Normandy on D-Day and was wounded two days later at the infamous 'Dead Man's Corner'.
