Great genuine WWII Allied map, Africa Road Map, Maroc-Algérie-Tunisie, First Edition, Sheet 151, scale 1:2000.000 and 1:500.000.
Based on a version drawn by the British General Staff-Geographical Section and edited by the US Army in 1942, the present map, which was initially copied from a 1939-dated French Michelin map, covers most of the North African coastline, from Mogador, Morocco to the Libyan border; the regions of Meknès-Fès, Oran, Alger, and Tunis are shown in separate insets.
This area covers the various landing sectors of Operation Torch -- the Allied invasion of French North Africa, November 8-16, 1942.
Very good overall condition.
