Genuine WWII US rubberized cloth pouch, containing four V-mail forms (blank).

In order to standardize, hasten and facilitate the shipping and delivery of the mail written by servicemen deployed overseas, the US Army instituted the V-mail system in 1942. The message would be written on a special form which was then photographed on 16mm film by the theater of operations V-mail processing center.

Good overall condition; snap fastener is in working order.
