Rare genuine post-WWII US Army grouping, which belonged to some Lieutenant Colonel Aubrey J. O'Reilly, a Catholic chaplain, and includes four albums of personal souvenirs -- mostly photographs -- coming along with various documents related to his service.
Nice homogeneous set, in used condition.
Aubrey John O'Reilly was born on October 30, 1906 in Los Angeles, California. He was ordained a priest in 1932 and went on to serve as a Chaplain in the US Army from December 22, 1936 (officer's ASN O-20537), deployed to Europe with the 26th Infantry Division during WWII and was awarded the Bronze Star, among other decorations. Retiring on November 30, 1955 with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, he passed away on April 14, 1977.
