Pair of genuine WWII US Army dog tags, issued to Cyril R. Ogle, ASN 18086471, vaccinated against tetanus in 1942, blood type A, Protestant. With address of next-of-kin -- here, his mother. One of the present identity tags is an early production version made in Monel.
Cyril Richmond Ogle was born on November 18, 1911 in Marshall, Oklhahoma and joined the US Army on March 18, 1942. He went on to deploy to North Africa and Europe, where he served with Headquarters Battery, 501st Field Artillery Battalion, 14th Armored Division, and fought in Tunisia, Sicily, Normandy, Northern France and Belgium prior to being discharged on October 26, 1945 as a Staff Sergeant. It seems that he decided to take his own life on January 10, 1967.

The Code provides additional penalties, including the confiscation of the items used or intended for committing the offence.
