Pair of genuine WWII US Army dog tags, issued to some Sylvester P. Hajduk, ASN 36205353, vaccinated against tetanus in 1943 and 1944, blood type A, Catholic.
Nice homogeneous set, in very good overall condition, retaining both bead chains.
Sylvester Paul Hajduk was born on December 22, 1912 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and joined the US Army on March 25, 1941. He went on to serve with Company K, 2nd Infantry Regiment, 5th Infantry Division and deployed to Europe, where he was wounded in action on July 30, 1944 during a patrol in the bocage of Normandy. He was discharged as a Private First Class, and later passed away on February 26, 1999.
