Dog Tags, Maj. William Lancaster, USAAF
Pair of genuine WWII US Army dog tags, issued to some Wm. H. Lancaster, officer's ASN O-319805, vaccinated against tetanus in 1942 and 1943, blood type A, Protestant, with name and address of next-of-kin -- here, his spouse.
Nice homogeneous set, in good overall condition, coming with its pair of original bead chains and a religious pendant of the Episcopal Church; one of the two dog tags is of the early production Monel type.
William Hugh Lancaster was born on January 31, 1902 in Belle Fourche, South Dakota and joined the Air Corps on August 27, 1941. He retired as a Major on March 4, 1954 and passed away on December 14, 1980.
