Nice genuine WWII US Army packboard, 2nd pattern, shaped plywood; a wide canvas panel laced on the sides cushions the back. Dated May 24, 1944, this packboard was made by Red Lion Cabinet Co. This type was introduced as a simpler alternative to the earlier Yukon Packboard.

Widely used to carry heavy and bulky loads such as ammo crates, rations, jerrycans, crew-served weapons, medical equipment, and other various supplies.

The present packboard is in very good overall condition; complete, apart from the metal cornice intended for being placed in the lower part.
