Genuine WWII US M1942 machete, 18-inch blade, made by True Temper and dated 1944 ; black bakelite grips. Comes in its original OD 7 canvas scabbard, manufactured by MIDLAND Fabrics Co. and dated 1944, too.
Such machetes were, amongst other branches of service, quite popular with American paratroopers and Marines manning the .30 machine gun.
Nice homogeneous set in quite good, used condition.
