Good overall condition. The name J.A. Dixon has been inscribed on the flap, while the Laundry Number (D-9028) is present under the flap.
John A. Dixon (ASN 14059028) was born on April 3, 1920 in Marion County, Indiana. He went on to serve with Company A, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division and deployed to Europe, where he participated in all of the division's campaigns: Sicily, Italy, Normandy, Holland, the Battle of the Bulge, and Germany. He later passed away on August 29, 1998.
