Nice genuine WWII US M1942 machete, 18-inch blade,
Manufactured by Collins & Co. and dated 1943; black bakelite grips. Comes in its original OD 7 canvas scabbard, manufactured by Boyt and dated 1944.
Such machetes were, amongst other branches of service, quite popular with American paratroopers and Marines manning the .30 machine gun.
Homogeneous set, in quite good overall condition.
