Genuine WWII US M1936 field bag, OD 7 canvas, manufactured by Hepburn Mfg. Co., Inc. and dated 1944. Issued in lieu of the haversack to officers and other personnel such as airborne troops and armored crews.
Very good overall condition; initials ARC have been painted on the flap; retains its shoulder sling, manufactured by Arnold Mfg. Co. and dated 1943
One hand bagage tag and one customs declaration, both of the standard type issued by the US Army, come along with this musette bag; the personal details written on them indicate that the present lot once belonged to some William N. Goodall, a civilian attached to the American Red Cross, living in Norman, Oklahoma.
