Great genuine WWII US Navy female personnel blue dress jacket, coming along with its matching side hat. The uniform retains all its original insignias: Specialist S 2nd Class rank badge on the left sleeve, medal ribbons on the leftt breast (American Campaign Medal and WWII Victory Medal), and 'Ruptured Duck' on the right breast.
Homogeneous set, in excellent overall condition, retaining all original buttons, labels and WAVES collar insignias (Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service). Name Wilma Tyvoll has been written in the cap.
Wilma Leone Tyvoll was born on July 4, 1918 in Cumberland, Wisconsin and joined the US Navy on June 15, 1944. She was discharged on January 16, 1946 and passed away on July 21, 1983. She was buried under her spouse name -- VanderVennet.
