Nice pair of genuine WWII US Army neoprene and rubber overshoes, closing by four spring-loaded hooks with flat buckles. Manufactured by U.S. Rubber Co. and dated 1944. Soles bear mention 'Made in Canada'. Size 11.
This type was issued to the First Special Service Force in Italy and in the French Alps, prior to being used on a larger scale in the Ardennes during the Battle of the Bulge in December 1944 -- particularly by troops of the 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions.
Homogeneous pair, in excellent overall condition.
