Shirt, Regulation, M1935, French Army, Size 2, 1940

Scarce genuine WWII French Army M1935 regulation shirt for other ranks. Intended for superseding the M1878 shirt, this type, featuring two breast pockets with buttoned flaps, was the standard shirt in most branches of service in 1939-1940. Here, the flap of the left pocket, along with the collar and both cuffs, were made in a darker shade of khaki.

In mint, unissued, condition, the present shirt retains all original buttons; manufactured by Joquet in Cholet, Maine-et-Loire and dated 1940. Size 2.
