The insignia of 1er Régiment de chasseurs parachutistes (1st Parachute Infantry Regiment of the French Army) has been painted in white on the front.
Comes with an original Seaman Paper Co. liner, retaining its OD 3 cotton web suspension and neckband, russet leather sweatband and OD green A washers.
A great artefact, in very good overall condition.
The 1er RCP was created in French Morocco in June 1943 and first saw action in the Vosges in October 1944. The unit went on to fight with bravery in Eastern France in the winter of 1944-1945, from Hill 1008 to Colmar and Strasbourg.

The Code provides additional penalties, including the confiscation of the items used or intended for committing the offence.
