Nice genuine WWII German ammunition steel case, intended for carrying MG 34 and MG 42 belts. Markings Patr. Kast. 41 f. M.G. stamped on each side refer to the year of introduction of this model (Patronenkasten 41 für Maschinengewehr) -- not the year of production. Manufactured by brc , no date.

The present box is in good overall condition and retains its rubber gasket under the lid; most of the original sand yellow paint is still present. Hinges and latch are in working order.
