The present picture, taken by war correspondent Hummel, shows a BMW R 12 motorcycle and side-car, along with its two-man crew.
The reverse of the photo bears the following caption, typewritten in German: Diese zwei sind an der ganzen Front bekannt als tolle Kradschützen. dabei zuverlässig und immer vorneweg. ('These two are known all over the front as great motorcycle shooters. Reliable and always at the forefront.')
