Genuine WWII US Goggles, Type E-1, green lenses, dated 1944. These were designed to protect the eyes from wind and dust, with tinted acetate lenses. Marking US 1944 inked on the inside of the leather frame. Manufactured by American Optical. Mainly used by US airborne troops during the jump.
These goggles supplied in a waterproof pouch were originally intended for the C-1 survival vest.
