Goggles, Flying, Polaroid, Type B-8, USAAF, in Box

Genuine WWII USAAF Type B-8 Polaroid flying goggles, intended for aircrews. Offering a wide field of vision, this black molded-rubber type soon became popular in other branches of service, such as armored crews.

The present goggles are in excellent overall condition; however, some part of the upper snap fastener is missing, thus preventing the screen from finding its proper place.

A cloth pouch containing a large number of spare lenses -- white (standard vision), green (to be used in sunny weather), and amber (designed for hazy conditions) -- completes this lot.

Homogeneous set, coming in its original cardboard box.
