Goggles, Flying, Polaroid, Type B-8, USAAF, Named, in Box
€225.00
Tax included
Genuine WWII USAAF Type B-8 Polaroid flying goggles, intended for aircrews. Offering a wide field of vision, this black molded-rubber type soon became popular in other branches of service, such as armored crews.
Manufactured by Rochester Optical Manufacturing Co. in Rochester, New York.
In quite good, worn condition, the present goggles come with a cloth pouch containing various spare lenses -- green (to be used in sunny weather), and amber (designed for hazy conditions). Name B. Levin and officer's ASN O-836296 have been inked on the headstrap, which is slightly damaged.
Homogeneous set, coming along with instruction leaflet and original cardboard box.
