Grouping, Pfc. Stephen Schott, Co. E, 115th Inf. Regt., 29th Infantry Division, WIA, ETO
Rare genuine WWII US Army grouping, which belonged to some Private First Class Stephen Schott, Company E, 115th Infantry Regiment, 29th Infantry Division, and includes the following artefacts:
- dog tag issued to Stephen Schott, ASN 42065702, vaccinated against tetanus in 1944, blood type O, Catholic;
- Purple Heart coming in its original case along with ribbon bar and lapel badge;
- 29th Infantry Division shoulder sleeve insignia.
Very nice homogeneous set, in excellent overall condition.
Stephen Schott was born on September 17, 1913 in New York City and joined the US Army on January 12, 1944. He went on to serve with Company E, 115th Infantry Regiment, 29th Infantry Division and deployed to Europe, where he was wounded by shrapnel in the left leg in December 1944. He was discharged on October 16, 1945 as a Private First Class and passed away on July 13, 2009.
