

Rare genuine WWII US Army grouping, which belonged to some Corporal Donald D. Shafer and includes the following items:
- Bronze Star with Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster; name Donald D. Shafer has been engraved on the reverse of the medal;
- Purple Heart, coming in its case along with ribbon bar and lapel badge.
Great homogeneous set, in very good overall condition.
Donald Denver Shafer was born on February 12, 1921 in Cumberland, Illinois and joined the US Army on August 20, 1942 (ASN 36365428). He went on to serve with the 45th Infantry Division and deployed to the MTO and ETO, where he was wounded three times -- on March 28, 1944 in the vicinity of Anzio, Italy, then on October 1st and 28 of that year in France. He was discharged as a Corporal and passed away on June 13, 2011.

The Code provides additional penalties, including the confiscation of the items used or intended for committing the offence.
