Insignia, 2nd Marine Division, USMC, Snake Type

Genuine WWII 2nd Marine Division insignia, 100% cotton thread.

Composed of the 2nd, 6th & 8th Marine Regiments, the 2nd Marine Division saw action in Guadalcanal in January 1943, Tarawa in November 1943, Saipan and Tinian in June and July 1944 and Okinawa in April 1945.

This insignia is the first version made "Snake Type", similar to the 1st Marine Division insignia.

To be worn on the Forrest Green and the Blue Dress.
