Genuine WWII US Thirty-Sixth Army Corps (XXXVI Corps) shoulder patch.

This corps was ctivated on July 15, 1944, at Fort Riley, Kansas and was assigned to the Fourth Army.

The XXXVI Corps remained stateside throughout its existence, making it the only activated U.S. Army corps that did not see overseas action.
