Genuine WWII US Army shoulder sleeve insignia, 1st Filipino Infantry Regiment.
Created in March 1942 by the amalgamation of Filipino-American soldiers and Philippine Army personnel who were in the US after escaping the fall of Philippines.
The unit participated deployed to New Guinea in 1944 prior to seeing action in Leyte the following year.
