Headband, Japanese, Hachimaki, "Good Luck"
€475.00
Tax included
Very nice genuine WWII Japanese headband, Hachimaki. Probably inspired by the headscarf worn under their helmet by Feudal Japan samurai warriors, this traditional piece of cloth was worn as a symbol of sacrifice and bravery. The Hachimaki was worn by many Nipponese servicemen and civilians during the Second World War, in spite of being generally associated with the image of the pilot engaged in a suicide mission -- the famed and feared kamikaze.
The present headband is adorned with the Rising Sun and symbols of "Good Luck".
Excellent overall condition. Total length: 33.4in.
