Knife, Trench, Modified, with USM8, 2nd Type

Scarce genuine WWII USM3 trench knife, which has undergone some interesting modification. A new handle, which was carved from a single piece of wood and then riveted to the tang, provides enhanced ergonomics, while the original lower guard has been replaced with a more attractive brass crossguard. The original blade, particularly sharp, has been preserved.

Comes its original USM8 bakelite scabbard, 2nd type, manufactured by B.M. Co., complete with bent-wire hook and securing strap (snap fastener is in working order).

Homogeneous set, in very good overall condition.
