Scarce genuine WWI US Army multitool pocket knife, bearing mention Army Knife. Made by New York Knife Co. from 1917 to 1922, this version is almost identical to the Boy Scout Knife produced by the same manufacturer from 1911 to 1916. Featuring jigged bone grips, this type was most likely issued to elements of the American Expeditionary Force, and remained in service during WWII -- particularly in the Corps of Engineers, and as part of various survival kits.

In used condition, the present knife shows signs of oxidation. The main blade is particulary abraded, indicating that it saw heavy use, while some splinter is missing from one of the grips.
