Knife, Fighting, 337-6"Q, CASE, with Leather Scabbard, Normandy
Rare genuine WWII US 337-6"Q fighting knife, manufactured by Case and hallmarked on both sides of the ricasso.
Quite similar to the 225Q produced by Cattaraugus, this type, which was seen in most theaters of operations, features a 5.7-inch Bowie style blade, steel crossguard and pommel, and stacked leather handle.
Comes in an original leather scabbard.
The present artifact comes from a significant collection built up by a Norman collector in the last thirty years.
