Rare genuine WWII USM3 trench knife, manufactured by Imperial and hallmarked on crossguard, which features an unusual customization.
The grip and the pommel cap have been entirely covered with some sort of colored resin, embellished with plant fiber latticework in the middle.
Comes in its original hookless USM8 bakelite scabbard, which was also coated with the above-mentioned resin and vegetable fiber meshing; the motif visible on the locket is quite reminiscent of the Confederate battle flag despite the lack of stars; snap fastener is in working order.
Very nice homogeneous set, in good overall condition.
