Genuine WWII USM3 trench knife, manufactured by Imperial and hallmarked on guard. The Ordnance Department flaming bomb was stamped on pommel cap.
Comes in its original USM6 leather scabbard, featuring strengthening pieces consisting of two rectangular metal plates fastened by four rivets, which keep the leather parts together. Fastening of these pieces is also ensured by rivets and a strong sewn seam.
Staples reinforce the top of the sheath on which the hilt rests. Snap fastener of securing strap is in working order. The scabbard can be attached onto the M1936 belt thanks to the bent-wire hook. Markings U.S. M6 Milsco 1943 are clearly visible on the front.
Some symbol has been grossly carved on the scabbard -- maybe Greek letter epsilon (ε).
Rare homogeneous set, in quite good overall condition -- hard to find nowadays. Don't miss it!
