Interesting genuine Korean War US M1 helmet liner, of the synthetic resin-coated, compressed-fiber type manufactured by Capac.
The outer surface has been covered with a layer of royal blue paint, and markings US Coast Guard have been stenciled in white letters on the front.
Complete with OD 7 cotton web suspension, russet leather sweatband manufactured by Enger-Kress and dated 1951, and black-painted A washers; number 88 has been stenciled in white digits on the inner surface.
Good overall condition.
