Interesting genuine WWII US M1 helmet, front seam and fixed bales, manufactured by McCord, shell number 2[?]6B. Original 1st pattern canvas chinstrap with brass buckle and hook. Although the entire surface of the present shell features a blue-green color generally associated with the US Navy, the Corporal rank stripes painted on the front --under first name Harry -- seem to conflict with this assumption.
Comes with its original liner, manufactured by Inland, complete with cotton web suspension and neckband, leather sweatband, and plain A washers. Good worn condition.
