Helmet, M1, 5th Infantry Division, Pierced
€2,450.00
Tax included
Amazing genuine WWII US M1 helmet, front seam and fixed bales, manufactured by McCord with shell number 780 C. Original 1st type chinstrap with brass buckle and hook. The insignia of the 5th Infantry Division 'Red Diamond' has been painted on the front.
The present shell shows four holes of various sizes and shapes, two of those corresponding to the points of entry of the projectiles (rear and left rear of the helmet) while the other two probably correspond to the exit points (left front and right side -- the latter did not pierce the steel completely).
This relic is in good overall condition.
