Genuine WWII US Army M1 helmet, front seam and swivel loops, manufactured by McCord, shell number 366A. Original 2nd pattern canvas chinstrap with steel buckle and hook. A Major rank insignia has been painted above name Cole on the front of the shell, but both desgins have faded.
Comes with its original liner, manufactured by International Molded Plastic Co., complete with khaki cotton web suspension, russet leather sweatband and OD-painted A washers. The outer surface features the same Major rank insignia with name Cole, but in a much brighter version.
Great homogeneous set in quite good, worn condition.
